Spring Season 2012

Despite the recession my world of words has been busy. . .

This month, January, sees three art exhibitions begin for which I have done the press and PR: Hannah Frank at Curlers Rest, Glasgow; Hannah Frank at Arteria with Gallery 23, Lancaster; Graham Lowe with 'Middle Ground' at The Dukes, Lancaster.  I helped to get Fiona Frank, Hannah Frank's niece, onto BBC Radio Lancashire. This provided nearly a full hour of publicity for Arteria, the Art & Craft Guild of Lancashire and also for Hannah Frank.

I have also proof read Overland to Egypt, a travel book which comes out very soon. This is Gordon G May's account of his ride from Manchester to Cairo on an ancient BSA Bantam. What a feat! More news on this on publication.

I'm also involved in the launch of an exciting new business. I'm keeping it under wraps until that launches but it's going to be a good one. All I will say is that Moonloft of Lancaster has designed the stunning logo.

Despite the fact that PR is about getting the publicity out there it is also vital that as a PR person you can keep secrets! There are currently three potential projects in the ether that I'd love to talk about but can't due to timing. That's exciting!
